Car audio for Toyota LandCruiser 200 in war conditions is a project that has become a source of optimism and inspiration for us. This car came to us in Kyiv from Kharkov, which confirms that even in difficult times people continue to strive to enjoy driving a car and their favorite music. <\/p>\n\n

We will split this article into two parts – the first will be about a new high-quality processor audio system with a powerful subwoofer, the second part – about the complete soundproofing of this Toyota LC 200. The car, by the way, was manufactured in 2020. You will find the cost of this project and the deadline at the end of the article, plus a couple of videos) <\/p>\n\n

Car audio for Toyota LandCruiser 200<\/h2>\n\n

The car came to us with modifications in terms of car audio – the doors were soundproofed and Blam speakers were installed. Usually, this is a basic modification of the standard car audio with noise and vibration insulation and installation of speakers. And Blam acoustics of the junior lines usually suit many car owners, but not in this case. This is what the front door of the Toyota LandCruiser 200 looked like: <\/p>\n\n

In our opinion, the vibration isolation was not done well enough for the speakers we chose for the new audio system, so we removed this layer, cleaned the door metal and did everything anew. The speakers that were installed before us, we moved to the rear doors for rear sound reinforcement. <\/p>\n\n

As for the front acoustics, we chose a three-band set of the premium Blam Signature line. More details about the speakers – in our video (at the end of this article). We will not talk about how important it is to properly soundproof the doors for the installation of powerful midbass speakers – the midbass is essentially the heart of the system and its installation must be approached especially carefully. <\/p>\n\n

The tweeters were installed in the most conventional way. Unfortunately, this car did not have standard places for tweeters, so due to the lack of time to make complex podiums, we agreed on this solution. <\/p>\n\n

Installing amplifiers in Toyota Land Cruiser 200<\/h2>\n\n

To install several amplifiers, which we decided to install all in one place, we made a podium. The podium with securely fastened amplifiers and a processor was hidden in the trunk wing. <\/p>\n\n

We connected all nine speakers of the new audio system channel by channel – each speaker is controlled separately from the processor, which gives us huge opportunities for setting up the new car audio.<\/p>\n\n

To ensure the highest sound quality, the signal from the radio was taken from the optical output, which significantly improved the clarity of the audio. The signal was fed to the processor. In addition, an additional Bluetooth module was added to the Helix processor, which opens alternative sound sources in even higher quality. <\/p>\n\n

Subwoofer for Toyota Land Cruiser 200<\/h2>\n\n

The subwoofer was custom-made. The task was to have the most powerful, but musical bass. In our opinion, the Hertz subwoofer did a great job with this, and it required a large volume and reinforced case material. In addition, the subwoofer case had to be securely fastened in the trunk so that during sudden braking the subwoofer remained in one position and did not cause harm to the driver and passengers. <\/p>\n\n

Full soundproofing Toyota LandCruiser 200<\/h2>\n\n

We won’t talk much about soundproofing here. We used as many materials as we could, taking into account the capabilities of all surfaces and space. The doors were made in three layers – two vibration-insulating and one noise-absorbing. <\/p>\n\n
