I decided to split the story about improving the multimedia and car audio in the 2008 Lexus GX470 SUV into two separate ones – separately here about the car audio and separately about the Tesla-style car radio for the 2008 Lexus GX470<\/a>. Although, at the end of this article you will find a video where we talked about the new car audio and the new car radio in this car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let’s talk about the new processor car audio for the 2008 Lexus GX470 – what did this car come to us with? Considering the age of this SUV, we can say that the standard factory premium car audio from Mark Levinson <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers for Lexus GX470 2008<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What acoustics did we recommend to the owner of Lexus GX470? As front acoustics, we chose midbass and tweeters Focal, midrange speakers Ground Zero. This is how the front doors looked before our intervention: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear speakers in this case are coaxial, and are perfect for backing up and creating a more voluminous sound picture!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mount the midrange speakers, we had to make custom mounts to ensure that the new speakers would work for a long time and reliably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subwoofer for Lexus GX470 2008<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The regular place where the factory subwoofer was located is traditionally for Lexus cars in the rear right wing under the trim. The speaker size is 16 cm. We selected a subwoofer speaker of the right size and, having slightly modified the regular place and the case, installed a new subwoofer in the old case. This is, of course, a compromise solution. But our task was to do it quickly and on a budget, so there was no talk of any significant alterations (and this would have been inevitable). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processor amplifier for Lexus GX470<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the 2008 Lexus GX470 SUV, the standard audio system included an amplifier. After all, it was a premium audio system. Premium car audio always involves an amplifier. All cars with a factory Mark Levinson have a standard amplifier. We replaced it with a new one from the Axton brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
