CarPlay for Mercedes GLE 2020 OEM Radio
Mercedes manufacturers (and not only) do not spoil their customers with the functionality of standard car radios. Even my 2020 Peugeot 2008 has the CarPlay function in the standard radio, but the 2020 Mercedes GLE, which came to our car audio studio for modifications, does not. Fortunately, it is not a problem for us to correct this misunderstanding.
What does it take to get CarPlay functionality in the 2020 Mercedes GLE without having to change anything in the car and end up with something like this:
Everything is very simple – there is a sufficient choice of special modules that are connected to the standard Mercedes head unit to the factory electrical wiring connector-to-connector. Externally, nothing changes in the car – the interface housing itself is mounted deep in the dashboard so that nothing is visible from the outside. However, the functionality of the car radio is significantly expanded.
