Mazda CX-9 replacement of the standard radio with the preservation of control from the buttons on the steering wheel of the trip computer and the operation of the standard Bose amplifier

Sometimes the banal desire to change the factory radio is faced with the impossibility of preserving some factory functions. This is due to the fact that many standard functions (control from the buttons on the steering wheel, setting up the on-board computer, operation of the factory amplifier – preserving the sound of the entire audio system after replacing the radio) are not preserved after the factory radio is dismantled.
But thanks to Connects2 adapters, which solve many problems, including those listed above.
A Mazda CX-9 came to us for a radio replacement and rear view camera installation, in which we connected the Connects2 CTSMZ010.2 adapter, which solved a number of problems:
- saved control of the radio on Android from the buttons on the steering wheel
- kept the stock Bose amplifier working
- saved the on-board computer settings and made it possible using the buttons on the steering wheel

The factory radio in the Mazda CX-9 has neither a screen nor many useful functions that modern Android devices have. But due to the fact that many important functions of the car are tied to the factory radio, for example, setting up the on-board computer, without the right adapter, replacing the radio is impossible in such a way as to preserve everything, including the operation of the factory BOSE audio system.

A short video on how to configure the Mazda CX-9 trip computer from the factory radio. After replacing the radio with the Connects2 CTSMZ010.2 adapter, the trip computer will be configured using the buttons on the steering wheel. Watch this video at the end of the article.
To replace the factory radio, we used a transition frame, installed the radio on Android (it was Incar), the adapter was already mentioned and a rear view camera.
The result was like this:

And as a result, the promised video:
Rear view camera for Mazda CX-9
The rear view camera is traditionally installed instead of the standard license plate light. Image with parking lines (they can be switched off if desired):
