Toyota Camry V70 – New Sound just before the War
This was the same car we handed over to the customer early in the morning on February 24, 2022. This car was destined to become our symbol of the turning point – BEFORE the war and AFTER.
Who would have thought that when we accept a Toyota Camry of such a beautiful blue color (which is rare in our time to have a car that is not black, white or gray), we will hand it over to the sounds of a siren that we have only heard in the movies.
It is already now, after a year and a half, that we understand that despite everything, life goes on and people still listen to music and still drive cars and still want good car audio. And during the war, we have done more than one project, all examples of work as always in the corresponding section of our site.
So, as for the Toyota Camry V70, everything is simple – we made audio preparation for four doors and installed six new speakers. The request was for a budget improvement, but we know how to squeeze the maximum out of a small budget, and in this case, choosing the right speakers specifically for this car:
What’s right about this Toyota Camry speaker kit?
The first is that we use 6×9 midbass speakers, keeping the maximum area of the diffuser, which will give us more low frequencies (for an audio system without a subwoofer, this is critically important).
Second – there should have been broadband speakers here for good. I don’t remember why, but at this point I had to use tweeters, but ideally for this car I would have chosen broadband speakers.
Audio preparation of doors was mandatory for all four doors. As always, materials from the Ukrainian manufacturer Acoustics (CTK) were used. Three layers per door is a sufficient level of noise insulation for this project.

For mounting oval midbass speakers we always use oval spacers for 6×9 inch speakers. High-quality plastic that will never lose its shape from water and will serve until the bitter end, when you simply change your car for a new one)
It turned out to be a short review. But considering how often Toyota Camry comes to us and how often the owners of these cars think about replacing the factory car audio, because no one likes it, we will write about this car again and again.
