CarPlay Tesla-style Car Stereo for 2008 Lexus GX470
The car that came to us was not new at all, 2008 – it is practically a member of the family if the car is with you almost all the time. The 2008 Lexus GX470 had a very morally and functionally outdated radio on board, which (just imagine) could play not CDs, but cassette tapes with film! We have not seen such a rarity for a long time)
In general, the owner of this car asked us to replace the standard radio with a new one. The owner himself got himself a mega cool car radio with a huge vertical Tesla-style display with a long list of functions and capabilities. Our task was to install all this carefully, file where it was necessary (not always Chinese car radios are perfectly integrated into the car’s dashboard).
And it was also necessary to ensure full synchronization of all functions of the new radio with the factory systems. Here, the Chinese are not always stable either, but our experience allows us to cope with tasks of any level.
This is what the new Tesla-style CarPlay car radio for the 2008 Lexus GX470 looks like in the end – as if it was always like this, and as if it couldn’t be any other way)
Since the functionality of the new Tesla-style CarPlay car radio for the 2008 Lexus GX470 allowed connecting a surround view system, plus the car owner wanted to get this functionality, we decided to take on the installation of four cameras in a circle, connecting them to the new radio and setting up the system. It turned out very, very well!
Considering that the Lexus GX470 is still an SUV, for which maneuvering in tight spaces can sometimes be quite stressful for the driver. But with the new car radio and all-round view system, the comfort of driving this car has increased many times!
