Subaru Outback – replacement of the standard radio with Pioneer AVH-A200VBT
You have no idea how often we said no to mid-2000s Subaru Outback owners in response to a request to replace the standard radio. The reason for the refusal was that there were simply no transition frames for these cars in the climate control configuration. For this installation, the customer brought his own transition frame for the Subaru Outback, which he bought all the way from Vladivostok!
At the entrance we had a factory radio, and the task was to replace it with a 2DIN radio with a large screen and connect a rear view camera.
When replacing the standard radio in a Subaru Outback, before installing a 2DIN car radio in the transition frame, it is necessary to move the part of the panel with microcircuits responsible for the car’s climate control, and mount the panel in a new transition frame:
The Subaru Outback climate control panel is already mounted in the transition frame. Everything is ready for installation of a 2DIN car radio.
First fitting. The car radio chosen was Pioneer AVH-A200VBT – an excellent set of functions necessary for everyday use of a car radio.
The result, as always, was excellent!
We selected a universal rear view camera and connected it to the right of the license plate light:
