It’s 2025, and a 2024 BMW X3 G01 with just 957 km on the odometer arrives at our studio. One of the best investments you can make in your car is car audio. But not to increase the car’s value, but to improve your mood. After all, you’re driving, and the quality of your music will determine your emotional state literally every day.
Speakers to improve the car audio of the BMW X3 G01
We selected all the equipment for this car from the Match brand. It’s mid-priced, high-quality, and designed specifically for BMWs, with everything using the factory connectors. The car arrived with the factory Base audio system, which doesn’t even have room for tweeters. We usually order replacement covers to install the new tweeters. Therefore, the BMW X3 G01 will leave us slightly modified.

Under-seat subwoofers for the BMW X3 G01
The stock BMW subwoofers are 16-centimeter speakers built into enclosures that only look like large speakers. Physically, these speakers are incapable of reproducing low frequencies. Since, like most of our BMW projects, they don’t involve interior modifications, the maximum speaker size that can fit under the seat is 20 cm.
The difference between the stock and new speakers is not only in the cone size, but also in the cone material and other design details. No matter how many similar projects we’ve done, we’re always delighted with the bass, which finally begins to sound rich in any BMW that comes to us.
Processor amplifier and processor tuning
As always, we installed a processor amplifier to provide channel-by-channel amplification for each speaker. The new BMW X3 G01 audio system now has eight speakers. The amplifier also connects to the standard BMW X3 G01 connector and is mounted on the standard bracket in the left trunk lid.
The setup took a bit of time. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to match each speaker and get the best sound in a given car.
