Car audio for the 2020 Lexus RX350
The owner of this car saw examples of work on similar vehicles on our website and decided to upgrade the stock audio. So, the list of Lexus cars we’ve worked on will expand to include another one of our projects.
Our client had no complaints about premium car audio. He wanted music to put him in a good mood and not cost all the money in the world. We’re very good at that.
The following configuration of the new audio system was proposed:
- For the front, we proposed installing full-range speakers in the dashboard and 20-centimeter midbass speakers in the front doors. All four speakers are equipped with channel amplification.
- It was proposed to install 16-centimeter two-component speakers (two amplification channels) in the rear doors.
- There is a subwoofer in the trunk (two amplification channels)
- And an eight-channel processor amplifier, which was enough for all the speakers

It’s worth mentioning right away that this car arrived with soundproofing installed at a different installation center. The owner said he was satisfied with the quality of the soundproofing.
In the photo below, you can see the factory full-range speaker in the dashboard, and in the next photo, we show the new Ground Zero speaker already installed. We’ve tested it in dozens of cars, so we vouch for the sound quality.
Comparison of 16-centimeter speakers: the factory one on the left, the new one on the right. As always, the midbass magnet makes a big difference. The new speaker also significantly outperforms in other parameters.
The rear speakers are installed in their standard locations, and the midbass speakers are installed using spacer rings that we printed on a 3D printer.
Subwoofer for Lexus RX350
We decided not to redesign the subwoofer at all. We used the factory plastic enclosure, but installed a new speaker. It’s more powerful and capable of delivering significantly more bass to the new audio system. We’ve used this upgrade method several times and always had excellent results.
Amplifier for Lexus RX350
We decided to install the Match processor amplifier between the front seats. There was ample space, and this placement required significantly less wiring. The advent of processor amplifiers in car audio has provided us with several advantages:
- the installers’ work has become easier
- the cost of audio systems has decreased
- installation has been simplified overall
