Affordable car audio for the Toyota Fortuner

What if it’s your birthday and your friends decide to give you a gift? Not just any gift, but something you’ve always wanted to give yourself but never did. And what would that gift be, if you’re an avid car enthusiast? The answer is obvious: the best gift in this case would be a new car audio system.
The owner of a Toyota Fortuner did just that – he spent all the money his friends gave him on a new car audio system. We were limited by the budget allocated for the gift. But despite the limited budget, we managed to achieve a significant improvement in sound quality.
What we did:
- We soundproofed all 4 doors
- Replaced the stock speakers with mid-range Blam speakers in the front and rear doors
Toyota Fortuner door soundproofing
Customers often don’t understand why mandatory door soundproofing is necessary if everything is fine with the noise level. And when we say it’s not to block road noise, but to get the most out of the speakers, the midbass, which is usually installed in the doors, requires an enclosed volume. And what kind of enclosed door volume can we talk about, one in which a woofer can function adequately, if the car door looks like this:

As a result, the door with the installed midbass speaker, which is expected to produce decent sound at low frequencies, should look like this (all technological openings are closed):

Another important aspect of door soundproofing is the treatment of the plastic door trim. It’s important to eliminate excess vibration, add some rigidity, and add sound-absorbing material to the door panel.

Speakers for Toyota Fortuner
How can you improve your car audio without spending a lot of money, yet still enjoy music 150% better? Choosing the right speakers is crucial. It’s logical to choose component speakers for the front and coaxial speakers for the rear. This is the basis for an inexpensive car audio system. But for the sound to be bright, rich, and loud, the speakers must have certain characteristics.
Pay attention to parameters such as impedance and sensitivity. In our case, the Blam speakers have an impedance of 3 ohms and a sensitivity of about 93 dB—just right!

We 3D-print spacer rings for every vehicle. This allows us to maintain the vehicle’s ergonomics and securely mount the speaker in its original location without modification. To calculate the cost of installing a new, budget-friendly car audio system in your car, call us at (099) 900-99-95.
