Surround View System for Opel Vivaro 2017
A 2017 Opel Vivaro minibus came to our studio for a whole range of work – it was necessary to replace the standard radio while maintaining control from the buttons on the steering wheel, replace the standard speakers, do basic soundproofing of the doors, but most importantly – install and configure the all-round view system.
Replacing standard radios and installing speakers with noise insulation is a daily job for us, for which there are many examples in our blog, so in this article we will pay more attention to the all-round view system.
But let’s say a few words about the radio and speakers. Firstly, the factory radio in this minibus had to be changed in any case – a screen was needed to display the image from four cameras of the all-round view system. The owner of the 2017 Opel Vivaro chose the top-end Android radio Incar AHR-9180.
To install the Incar car radio into the dashboard of the 2017 Opel Vivaro, we used the CARAV 11-642 adapter frame
In order to control the new Incar radio with the buttons on the steering wheel (in this car with the steering wheel joystick), we used the steering wheel button adapter for Opel Vivaro Connects2 CTSVX007.2
The factory “cardboard” speakers were replaced with the basic Hertz DSK 165.3 set. For installation in the Opel Vivaro doors, professional standard spacers for the Connects2 CT25RT06 speakers were used.
And now about the main thing. The all-round view system was chosen universal (Gazer) – you can install it in your car. The system comes with four cameras, a unit and a remote control. Two cameras are installed in the side mirrors, the front camera and the rear view camera are installed in those places that will provide the best possible view, and all four cameras should be adequately “glued” by the unit so that the final picture from above is complete. Looking ahead, during the setup we had to change the angle for the side cameras so that the view was along the entire perimeter of the car.

The most important point of installing the all-round view system is its setup. For proper setup of the Gazer all-round view system, calibration mats are needed (this system has an automatic calibration function). The entire setup process took half a day:
